What's on the ballot in NELA: Here's a list of races and amendments

With mid-term elections on Nov. 8, voters in Northeast Louisiana can cast ballots starting on Oct. 25.

Early voting will continue through Nov. 1. from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., excluding Sunday, Oct. 30. Registered voters need a photo ID or to sign a voter affidavit to vote.

A Louisiana driver's license, a Louisiana special identification card, a United States military identification card that contains the applicant's name and a picture or other generally recognized picture identification that has both name and signature are acceptable forms of photo ID.

Early voting locations in Ouachita Parish are the Registrar of Voters office at 1650 DeSiard St. in Monroe and the West Ouachita Senior Center at 1800 N. 7th St. in West Monroe. Early voting locations in the surrounding parishes are:

The deadline to request an absentee ballot is Nov. 4 at 4:30 p.m., according to Louisiana Secretary of State's website. Absentee ballots can be requested through the website's Voter Portal or in writing through your Registrar of Voter's Office. The last day for a Registrar of Voters to receive a voted absentee is Nov. 12 at 4:30 p.m.
