What's the big store coming to the Mid-State Mall in East Brunswick?

EAST BRUNSWICK - A retail flooring store wants to set up shop at Mid-State Mall on Route 18.

Floor and Décor Outlets of America, Inc. wants to combine several tenant spaces, about 68,064 square feet, formerly occupied by Raymour & Flannigan, Sun Run, European Wax Center and Massage Envy and construct an approximately 6,877 square foot addition at the rear of the existing mall. The store would be 74,941 square feet, larger than a football size, according to plans filed with the township.

Floor and Decor has signed a lease with the mall owner for the space, the application says.

Floor & Décor is a specialty retailer of hard surface flooring, offering a broad in-stock selection of tile, wood, stone, and related tools and flooring accessories, according to its website.

If approved, Floor & Decor would join other businesses at the mall, such as ShopRite, Pet Smart and Best Buy.
