What's the Buzz: Caldwell Fireman's Festival returns to Noble County

Pick any one of the events happening in and around the area to keep your week busy. I’ll be highlighting attractions, activities and festivals right here, every week. From local music and shows to options for those of you who don’t mind traveling a bit, there’s something for everyone. Be sure to check all activities, as cancellations can occur. The events listed are for July 27 to Aug. 5.

Featured this week: 71st annual Caldwell Fireman's Festival

71st annual Caldwell Fireman's Festival. Three days of fun, food and good times in Caldwell. Events are scheduled from 5:30 p.m. Thursday, July 27 through Saturday, July 29. Food trucks, parades and rides will delight the crowd at this yearly festival. Thursdays' schedule includes the 4-H parade at 6:30 p.m., followed by music by Jacked Up Jukebox DJ at 7 p.m. On Friday check out the Big Eat Stand from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and stick around for the 5K and 1-mile Fun Run at 7 p.m. A performance from Phase 2 Band will close the day with a show at 7:30 p.m. Sunday brings out the gearheads for a car show at noon and the festival parade at 6 p.m. Drivelive Band will get your toes tapping following the parade. The majority of rides and food stands will open at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and at noon on Sunday. For more information call 740-732-2802. Caldwell Courthouse lawn.

  • North to Nashville. The Secrest Summer Concert Series returns with North to Nashville on Thursday in downtown Zanesville. The event starts at 5 p.m. with opener Howie Campbell and North to Nashville performing from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. in the Secrest Auditorium Parking Lot. This is a free event.   • Byesville Farmer's Market. Beginning at 4 p.m. Thursdays and running weekly until Sept. 28 at Byesville Village Park, 216 Meek Ave., Byesville. For more information call 740-255-6911.

  • Haley Bundy. Central Station Steak and Ale is the place to be to hear the melodic sounds of Haley Bundy. The show is scheduled to run from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday. For more information call 740-439-9054. Central Station Steak and Ale, 2281 Central Ave., Cambridge.

  • Dark Side of the Moon - Pink Floyd Tribute. A laser show, killer tunes, and a one-of-a-kind performance are waiting for you on Friday at the Dark Side of the Moon - Pink Floyd Tribute show.   • National Night Out. Head to Cambridge City Park on Tuesday for a night of fun and festivities with local law enforcement agencies. The event is scheduled to run from 5 to 8 p.m. and will feature a dunk tank, side-by-side rides, a water balloon toss and more. Hot dogs, chips and water will be provided.   • Antrim Fireman's Festival. The small village of Antrim will host its annual Fireman's Festival Aug. 3, 4 and 5. Music from Sudden Impact, Baranich, Gable and Lee, Matt Frampton and Dusty Covers are scheduled, as well as a parade, kiddie pedal pull and tractor parade.   • Little Creek. Enjoy the Community Savings Summer Concert Series and make the short trip to Caldwell on Friday, Aug. 4 for a night full of fun. Kick up your heels to the tunes of Noble County favorite Little Creek. The show is scheduled to run from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Noble County Courthouse, 260 Courthouse, Caldwell.
