What's closed Friday in anticipation of winter weather in Pensacola area
In anticipation of freezing rain early Friday morning until about 9 a.m., the following offices and organizations have announced they will be closed.
Escambia County School District, including all schools, district offices and afterschool activities, including indoor and outdoor athletics
Escambia County offices including:
Tax Collectors
Property Appraiser
Supervisor of Elections
Department of Animal Welfare
Clerk of Court offices
Escambia County public libraries
Escambia County Courts including felony and traffic infraction hearings
Weather impact: Escambia County schools closed Friday due to winter weather, Santa Rosa schools open
Bus services including ECAT, University of West Florida Trolley and Pensacola Beach Trolley services.
City of Pensacola offices and facilities also are closed today including:
Administrative offices
City Hall
City of Pensacola community resource centers.
Florida Department of Health in Escambia County clinics and other services. Clients with appointments scheduled Friday may call 850-595-6500 when FDOH-Escambia offices reopen Monday to reschedule their appointment.
The COVID-19 drive-thru testing site, operated by Statlab, in Pensacola will be suspended Friday and Saturday. Specimen collection is expected to resume normal operations (weather permitting) on Sunday.
Community Health Northwest Florida dental services at FDOH-Escambia’s Fairfield Drive Service Center. Patients who have appointments in the dental clinic may call 850-912-8880 to reschedule.
CAN Community Health services at FDOH-Escambia’s Northside Location at 8390 N. Palafox St. Patients who have appointments in the clinic will be contacted to reschedule.
Delays
City of Pensacola Sanitation Services planned to operate on a delayed schedule, with an anticipated start time of 10 a.m.
