What's Cooking: Aliquippa's new restaurant; Beaver Falls' bourbon tasting

A Lil' Bit of Everything lives up to its name.

Aliquippa's new takeout restaurant, at 2355 Mill St., serves up lunch and dinner items like fish, shrimp and grits, nacho grande with homemade pico, steak hoagies, pepper steak, breaded chicken boat with cheesy fries, cabbage and noodles, meatball sandwiches and lemon pound cake.

Rib dinners are $18, and last week's Sunday dinner, The Baked Chicken Quarter, with greens, mac and cheese, potato salad and cornbread, sold for $15. Add a slice of homemade sweet potato pie for $3, or a mixed fruit lemonade for $5.

A Lil' Bit of Everything co-owners Mary Gnarra and Zap Lewis pay homage to their hometown with the Quip Mix Steak and Chicken meal, accompanied by seasoned cheese fries, added to the daily menu due to popular demand.

Gnarra said the restaurant, next to the Aliquippa Croatian Center, strives to provide a mix of soul, Lebanese and Italian food, in line with their cooking experience and interests. Gnarra formerly worked as general manager at the Wahlburger's at The Mall at Robinson.
