The weather continues to warm, making the outdoors the perfect venue for events in the Fayetteville area.

This weekend, Sweet Valley Ranch, 2990 Sunnyside School Road, brings back one of its most popular attractions, Dinosaur World.

The attraction is open 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday through Saturday and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday through Aug. 21.

Dinosaur World features over 500 animals from five continents and more than 50 animatronic dinosaurs. For its second year, the attraction added an ice age exhibit that includes animatronics of extinct animals and an iguana exhibit featuring more than 100 live iguanas.

Tickets can be purchased through the ranch's website, sweetvalleyranchnc.com/tickets.

Roses & Music in the Garden 

The Fayetteville Technical Community College Foundation presents Roses & Music in the Garden 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Fayetteville Rose Garden, 2201 Hull Road, Fayetteville. 

Attendees are invited to bring their own chairs and enjoy a free jazz concert by FTCC musicians. 

Fayetteville After Five

The Fayetteville Dogwood Festival presents the first Fayetteville After Five summer concert for the 2022 summer season, 5-11 p.m., Friday at Festival Park, 335 Ray Ave.

The concert is free and open to the public. The park opens at 5 p.m. and a performance by the Southern Haze Band starts at 6 p.m. On the Border - the Ultimate Eagles Tributehits the stage at 8 p.m.

The Fabulous Drag Dinner Show

Huske Hardware House Restaurant & Brewery hosts its second Fabulous Drag Dinner Show, 7:30-10:30 p.m. Friday at Huske Hardware, 405 Hay St.

The event features live music, comedy and performances.

Tickets are $13 at the door and $10 in advance. The event is for ages 21 and older.

Pride at Night Hope Mills

Dirty Whiskey Craft Cocktail Bar and Carolina Drag Bruch present Pride at Night Hope Mills, 9 p.m. Saturday at Dirty Whiskey Craft Cocktail Bar, 5431 Corporation Drive.

The event will feature dancing drag and cocktails.

Drag Me to Dirtbag

Carolina Drag Bruch hosts its Drag Me to Dirtbag event at 11 a.m. Saturday at Dirtbag Ales, 5435 Corporation Drive, Hope Mills.

There will be two seatings; 11 a.m. for the brunch and show and then 1 p.m. for the show only.

Tickets for the brunch and show are $35 and $15 for the show only. Tickets can be purchased on Simpletix.

Sandhills Farmers Market

The Sandhills Family Heritage Association holds Sandhills Farmers Market of Spring Lake 9 a.m.-1 p.m., June 11 at 230 Chapel Hill Road.

The market features produce, music, food and local vendors.

Pride Car Parade and Health & Employment Education Fair

The Fayetteville VA NC Coastal Health Care System presents Pride Month Car Parade at noon, June 11, at 7300 Raeford Road, Fayetteville.

The decoration area opens at 10 a.m. The health and employment fair will be 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

The Juneteenth Freedom Festival

The Juneteenth Freedom Festival and WCCG 104.5 FM present the Juneteenth Carnival, June 16 -June 19 at 1111 N. Bragg Blvd., Spring Lake.

The carnival will include food trucks, rides and attractions. Tickets for rides and attractions will be available at the carnival.

Freedom Festival Launch Party

The Juneteenth Freedom Festival holds a launch party at 6 p.m., June 16 at Dirtbag Ales Brewery and Taproom, 5435 Corporation Drive, Hope Mills.

The free event will feature food trucks, drinks, music and a playground for children.
