BLOOMINGTON SOUTH AT PIKE: Postponed due to power outage at Pike. Will be rescheduled.

EASTERN GREENE 53, SOUTH KNOX 46: Chyann Padgett hit five 3s and had 16 points to pace EG, while Kenady Hudson had 14, Keylee Hudson 11 and Kaylyn Criger 8. T-Birds trailed 36-34 going into the fourth and survived 9-of-22 free throw shooting. Eastern also held South Knox's Ella Bobe, who had a school record 37 points in her opener, to 14.

NORTH DAVIESS 56, LIGHTHOUSE CHRISTIAN 16: North Daviess controlled the game from start to finish, taking a 31-14 halftime lead and clamping down defensively in the second half, holding the Lions to one field goal. LCA got six points and six rebounds from Zoe Crites, but suffered 24 turnovers. Delaney Zorman had 11 points to pace the Cougars (2-0), who had nine players score.

Girls' basketball

GREENCASTLE 53, EDGEWOOD 35: Another tough night for the Mustangs, who fall back 47-34 after three quarters and score just one point in the final period. Jaylen Robinson and Marcy Crider led Edgewood (0-2, 0-2 WIC) with nine points each. Senior transfer Gloria Brewer had 18 points to lead Greencastle (1-1, 1-0), 14 in the first half to build a 31-22 lead. She had just four free throws in the second half, but Emma Hunter scored all 10 of her points to keep the Cubs on top.

Girls' basketball

EASTERN GREENE 66, LIGHTHOUSE CHRISTIAN 18: Eastern Greene jumped up 40-15 by halftime and let its defense take care of the rest. Bianca Wyatt had 16 points in her first varsity start while Keylee Hudson also had 16 points for the T-Birds (1-0). Kaylyn Criger added 12 points and Kenady Hudson nine. Zoe Crites had eight points and Abagail Rousey six for LCA (0-1), which was held to just one field goal in the second half.

WEST VIGO 45, EDGEWOOD 40: West Vigo took a two-point lead into the fourth quarter and hung on in the WIC and season opener for both teams. Edgewood, which dropped its first opener since 2014, let the Vikings get away in the second quarter with a 19-9 run that included three straight 3-pointers. But a 12-6 surge in the third tightened things up. Freshman Macey Crider had 16 points in her varsity debut for the Mustangs, while Madi Bland and Elane McElhinney each had six. Katelyn Fennell led West Vigo had 18 points.
