BLOOMINGTON NORTH 57, BEDFORD NORTH LAWRENCE 55: JaQualon Roberts made up for the missed free throw. He split a pair at the line with 4.5 seconds left to tie it, then saw Lucas Vencel steal BNL's inbounds pass, giving the Vanderbilt-bound Roberts a second chance. And 3.1 seconds was just enough time, taking the pass just inside the half-court line, pulling up from 16 feet just left of the lane and hitting the jumper as time expired. BNL's coaching staff argued it was after the horn, but to no avail. It was the last of a 31-point night for the senior, tying his career best from last year. Dawan Daniels had 15 points for the Cougars, who trailed 29-25 at half and 42-39 after three. But the Stars, who were 11-of-12 at the line to that point, finished just 4-of-8, missing two critical front ends of 1-and-1s in the final minute to open the door. Colton Leach led BNL with 20 points, while Colton Staggs had 15 and Trace Ryndos 11.
