Aug. 25—The Cedar Polka Festival is Aug. 25-28. Activities include a car and motorcycle show, dancing, a race and more. The Scottville Clown Band performs Saturday afternoon during the parade at 1 p.m. and then afterward in the festival tent.

Balloons Over Bellaire returns Aug. 26-27 at Shanty Creek. They take flight behind the Lakeview Hotel at 6:30 p.m. Friday and 7:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

Benzie Area Radio Control Club flying demonstrations go from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 27 at Thompsonville Airport. A candy drop occurs for the kids, and food is available to purchase.
