What's new at the Mu? Bug-making craft set Saturday
Those who take part in Saturday’s free Do the Mu workshop can contribute artwork to an upcoming Massillon Museum exhibition.
Artist and educator Eric Anthony Berdis will lead students in a free bug-making workshop from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday.
Berdis’ exhibition will be in 2025 in the museum’s Studio M.
All ages and ability levels are welcome, and all supplies will be provided. Guests can drop in anytime during the event.
The artist’s collaborative bug-making project, "Don't Let Them Clip Your Tiny Insect Wings," uses craft supplies to make bugs as a symbol of resilience. Bugs donated during Do the Mu will become a part of Berdis’ project.
Berdis is an artist and educator whose practice strives to celebrate DIY collectivity and play for students.
Do the Mu is a free monthly drop-in, hands-on intergenerational outlet for creativity. The Massillon Museum receives operating support from the Ohio Arts Council, ArtsinStark and the citizens of Massillon.
