The walk will be led by Beth Poole. The trails of Cool Spring Preserve have well-maintained food paths. Species likely be seen include Yellow Breasted Chats, Yellow Warblers, Red Bellied Woodpecker, Ruby Throated Hummingbird, Eastern Wood-Peweee, Carolina Chickadee, Eastern Bluebird, Eastern Phoebe, Carolina Wren and others. The walk is free and open to the public. Anyone with an interest in birding is welcome to attend, regardless of experience. The Potomac Valley Audubon Society is recruiting "Weed Warriors" to help maintain four nature preserves, totaling more than 500 acres in the Ester Panhandle of West Virginia. PVAS's land and conservation manager, Katelyn "KC" Walters will lead the certified weed warrior training. The certification comes with a "Weed Warrior" T-shirt to wear while performing duties and exclusive access to tools for various jobs. Additional training will be held based on interest.
