What's on TV this week: 'The Masked Dancer', 'Frozen Planet II', 'Katie Price: Trauma and Me'

It's a busy weekend of TV, with The Masked Dancer, Last Night of the Proms and Frozen Planet II offering something for all tastes.

Celebrity MasterChef hits semi-finals week on BBC One, Gogglebox is back at Channel 4, and the MAFS UK dinner party is about to kick off.

Celebrity MasterChef - BBC One - Tuesday, Thursday, Friday

The heats and quarter-finals have been tackled, and now we're about to find out which celebrities really make the grade with the semi-finals.

Thursday's episode sees Mary Berry join the kitchen with a task for the celebrities, while critic Grace Dent will be guest judging on Friday.

By Friday, just five cooks will go through to finals week, where they'll be competing for the Celebrity MasterChef 2022 title.

Married At First Sight UK - E4 - 9pm, Wednesday

It's the episode we've all been waiting for - the first dinner party of the series.

Never mind the couples' reactions to each other at the altar, what fans really want to see is how they get on as a group, with a fiery hen night already having aired.

Katie Price: Trauma and Me - Channel 4 - 9pm, Thursday

Model, entrepreneur and reality TV star Katie Price has had a fraught time of it recently, even by her own standards.

In September 2021, she was charged with drink driving after crashing her car and then went into rehab to address her problems.

Here, Price discusses the events that lead to her hitting rock bottom and the changes she has made.

Disney+ Day - Thursday

Subscribers to the streaming service are in for a treat this week as the annual Disney+ Day returns.

Premiere and exclusives to look out for include Thor: Love and Thunder, Pinocchio's live-action remake, sing-a-long versions of both Frozen films and Mike Tyson drama series based on his life, Mike.

Gogglebox - Channel 4 - 9pm, Friday

A 20th season of the hit TV review show launches tonight which will be welcomed back by its many fans.

Look out for familiar faces giving their views on the week's best watching, with the first ever Welsh language version of the show also set to begin this year.

Last Night of the Proms - BBC - 7.10pm, Saturday

Proms season draws to a close this weekend with the most famous date in the concert series calendar.

Katie Derham presents the coverage which includes all the old favourites you'd expect from Last Night of the Proms, plus a new work from James B Wilson that was commissioned to commemorate the centenary of the BBC and another new commission from Iain Farrington celebrating TV theme tunes.

Coverage begins on BBC Two at 7.10pm, then switches over to BBC One at 9pm.

The Masked Dancer - ITV - 6.30pm, Saturday

TV's most surreal dance contest returns, with the second half of mystery contestants set to perform for the first time.

Last week saw Astronaut unmasked as Jesse Metcalfe, Scissors stun the judges and Pillar and Post compete as the first ever duo.

Frozen Planet II - BBC One - 8pm, Sunday

It's been 11 years since the first stunning series of Frozen Planet aired, and now Sir David Attenborough is back with a follow-up that took four years to film.

Expect incredible footage of nature's iciest scenes, set to the backdrop of a theme tune by Camila Cabello and Hans Zimmer.

Sir David also educates viewers on the climate crisis the world is facing and how the rising temperature across the globe will affect all of us.
