What's Open, Closed Christmas Week 2021 In Cartersville
CARTERSVILLE, GA — Christmas may be different again this year due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. But something that hasn't changed is the closure of many services in Cartersville for the holiday.
While Christmas is a federal holiday, some services may start their closures on Christmas Eve. Here are the openings and closings to know on and around Friday, Dec. 24 (Christmas Eve) and Saturday, Dec. 25 (Christmas).
All Bartow County and City of Cartersville offices are closed Thursday and Friday.
The Bartow County Library System will close at 6 p.m. on Thursday, and remain closed through Dec. 27.
Students at Bartow County Schools and Cartersville School System schools are on break through Jan. 4, with classes beginning again on Tuesday, Jan. 5.
Trash pickup: City of Cartersville trash pickup scheduled for Thursday and Friday have been rescheduled to Monday, Dec. 27. Monday's regular route has been rescheduled to Tuesday, Dec. 28. In Bartow County, collection centers will close at noon on Friday. All collection centers are closed on Saturday. Sites normally open on Sundays will be open 1-5 p.m. for household garbage only. The sites are subject to close before 5 p.m. if the containers are full.
This is a federal holiday and all U.S. Postal Service post offices will be closed.
Banks will be closed.
