What's Open, Closed On Thanksgiving 2020 In Marietta

MARIETTA, GA — Thanksgiving may be different for some who may avoid larger gatherings to avoid the spread of COVID-19. What hasn't changed is the closure of many services in Marietta for the holiday.

While Thanksgiving is a federal holiday, some services may continue their closures on Friday. Here are the openings and closings to know on and around Thursday, Nov. 26 (Thanksgiving) and Friday, Nov. 27 (Black Friday).

  • Cobb County offices and courts will be closed Thursday and Friday.

  • Marietta City Hall will be closed Thursday and Friday.

  • The trash schedule for the week will change, and a personalized schedule is now available online.

  • Cobb County Schools are off this week from Nov. 23-27, all offices are closed.

  • All Cobb County libraries will be close Wednesday, Nov. 25 at 5 p.m., and will remain closed Thursday and Friday.

  • This is a federal holiday and all U.S. Postal Service post offices will be closed. No mail will be delivered or sent. Regular business hours will resume Friday, Nov. 27.

  • Publix: All stores and pharmacies will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, and will resume regular hours on Black Friday.

  • Kroger: Most stores are open 24 hours. Some stores will open from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m.
