What's there to do in Pensacola Wednesday nights? Comedy open mics, Latin dancing and more

Tiring of working for the weekend?

It’s easy to get so caught up in the work week that spending time enjoying life is pushed to the backburner. But it doesn’t have to be this way.

We're bringing you a list of recurring events that happen throughout the week to help kick some life back into your soul and revive the pep in you step when you return to work Thursday morning.

And as it turns out, Wednesdays are a pretty happening day of the week with comedy open mics, Latin dancing and some usual suspects like karaoke, the dueling piano show at Seville and more.

Karaoke

Seville Quarter at Lili Marlene's

  • Where: 130 E. Government St.

  • When: 8 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Karaoke at Seville Quarter is Wednesday through Sunday nights and things get serious. We're talking hour-long-wait-times serious. But one of the best ways to experience this is during the week when you can sing to a crowd, but skip the lengthier queues during the weekend.

GARY-oke at Gary's Brewery and Biergarten

  • Where: 208 Newman Ave.

  • When: 5 to 9 p.m.

Sing your heart out every Wednesday at Gary's Brewery and Biergarten from 5 to 9 p.m., hosted by Watts Up Karaoke. The kitchen serves up food while you sing until 9 p.m. and you can grab a drink until 10 p.m.

Trivia

Beer Garden Trivia at Emerald Republic Brewing

  • Where: 1414 W. Government St.

  • When: 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Emerald Republic Brewing holds trivia night Wednesdays. There is a limit of six players to a team and there are prizes for first, second and third place. Enjoy craft beer paired with delicious food from A Rustyc Spoon food truck parked right outside.

Spahr brewing

  • Where: 3541 W. Fairfield Dr.

  • When: 7 to 9 p.m.

The Florida Panhandle-Pop Culture Trivia Challenge groups hosts its weekly trivia nights based around pop culture themes like The Office, Stranger Things and Big Bang Theory to name a few. There's craft beer, music and prizes for the winners.

Farmer's markets: Farmer's markets offer an alternative to big-box store produce in Pensacola

Bingo

World of Beer

  • Where: 200 S. Palafox St.

  • When: 7 to 9 p.m.

After the Wednesday World of Beer run club, you can hangout with the Bingo Bros for Blacked Out Bingo. Winners get prizes but everyone gets half off select drafts, featured shots and appetizers, $5 Huckleberry Lemonade and 30% off at Taco Agave with a Bingo card.

Big Top Brewing Company

  • Where: 21 W. Romana St.

  • When: 7 to 9 p.m.

Bingo can be played at Big Top Brewing Company for free with the purchase of a beer. Winners receive prizes, including a free beer, crowler, six-pack, $10 gift card and $25 gift card. In addition to local craft beer, you can also get a $6 burger and fries.

Open Mic

A Little Madness

  • Where: 9838 N. Davis Highway

  • When: 6:31 p.m.

Every Wednesday, at exactly 6:31 p.m., you can head over to A Little Madness Brewing Company, located at 9838 N. Davis Highway, for more open mic night goodness. Following the departure of YIKES! host Andrew Ferrara, the brewery hosts its own event with Kirby Hullet.

4Eleven Lounge

  • Where: 1673 Pace Blvd. Unit H

  • When: 9 p.m.

  • Admission: $10

Fluker hosts a bi-weekly comedy show at 4Eleven Lounge on the first and third Wednesday of the month. The Comedy Night show starts at 9 p.m. and has a $10 cover charge. It's a BYOB event but hookahs are available.

Live music

Rosie O'Grady's Duelling Piano Show

  • Where: 130 E. Government St.

  • When: 8 a.m. to 2 a.m.

Similar to karaoke, Seville hosts its famous duelling pianos show Wednesday through Saturday, and it's a good time no matter what day of the week you go. Pop inside Rosie O'Grady's, grab a drink and whip out your phone. Songs can be requested through Venmo or with cash.

Bamboo Willie's

  • Where: 400 Quietwater Beach Road

  • When: 2 to 6 p.m. and 8 to midnight

Heading out to Pensacola Beach, you can find live entertainment every Wednesday. During the summer, you can expect live music to start around 2 p.m. and end at 6 p.m. There's a two hour break before things kick back up at 8 p.m. with a new band playing. Dancing

  • Where: 130 E. Government St.

  • When: 8 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Looking for something a little different? Latin Flavor Entertainment and Seville Quarter team up to host "Noche Tropical" and Latin Night every Wednesday from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. This is a social Latin dance where you can dance to salsa, achata and merengue music.

Newcomers are welcome, too. Show up early at 7 p.m. and you can get dance lessons for $10 — no partner required.
