The vacant Lord & Taylor building in Eastchester is getting a new tenant after almost two years of vacancy. SaksWorks, a co-working space, is coming to the location. The space will have work spaces, a lounge, a café and a workout space.

Back across the river, Playland's impending spring opening is "up against the clock" after a construction contract was terminated. According to a report by lohud reporter David Propper, the county believes the firm was "failing on the job." But, the county needs to have the work, which includes finishing bathrooms and food stands, by April 29.

When customers head to a New York movie theater, they can now order a beer with their popcorn. Movie theaters can, if they haven't already, apply for their liquor license and serve wine and beer. Those who already have a license can serve alcohol immediately, while those who didn't have their liquor license to begin with are able to apply.

In national news, the pandemic paired with inflation are taking its toll on families finances. In a report for USA Today, reporter Terry Collins spoke with experts as well as consumers who feel they are "spending more and getting less in return across the board."
