A new Jersey Mike’s Subs sandwich shop location is under construction between the Four Corners Veterinary Clinic and Burrito Boy on W. 11th Avenue in Eugene.
The lot is no stranger to housing food franchise locations as the neighboring Four Corners Veterinary Clinic building used to be a Burger King prior to the vet clinic renovating the space in 2021 and taking tenancy there.
The addition of a new sub shop bolsters the roster of over a dozen food and dining options already available on the stretch of W. 11th Avenue.
This will be the fourth Jersey Mike's location in the Eugene-Springfield area once opened, joining other locations on North Delta Highway and E. 13th Avenue in Eugene and Mohawk Boulevard in Springfield.
Jersey Mike’s has 2650 locations already open in the U.S. with an additional 280 locations being planned to open.
The 0.6-acre space should be able to serve customers for dine-in or carry-out orders. The commercial property, owned by Kam Company LLC of Eugene, Oregon, is valued by Lane County Assessment and Taxation at a total assessed value of $573,351.
The shell of the building has undergone permitting inspections for the foundation and Fire Marshal checks. Next steps include completing the exterior shell of the building and outfitting the inside with facilities for food making.
Six short-term bike parking spaces will be added and the 41 bus line’s nearest stop is just over a half-mile walk away from the new location. The restaurant will share parking spaces with the adjacent Burrito Boy.
