Wheeler named Dispatcher of the Year

CAMBRIDGE − Ohio State Highway Patrol Dispatcher Nicole C. Wheeler has been selected for the 2022 Ohio State Highway Patrol Telecommunications Award at the Cambridge Dispatch Center.

The selection of Wheller, 34, is in recognition of the outstanding service in 2022 at the Cambridge Dispatch Center. Post management, troopers, and dispatchers chose Wheeler based on technical job knowledge and ability, enthusiastic work attitude, teamwork, and prompt and courteous response to the public’s requests for information and assistance.

Wheeler joined the Highway Patrol in 2012 as a dispatcher and served at the New Philadelphia Dispatch Center as a traveling dispatcher before transferring to the Cambridge Dispatcher Center in 2014. Originally from Crooksville and a 2006 graduate of Crooksville High School, Wheeler graduated from Zane State College in 2013 and graduated from Ohio University Zanesville in 2018.

Wheeler and husband Duane live in Cambridge with their 2-year-old twin boys.
