SOUTH BEND — South Bend families will want to mark their calendars for the second weekend of June.

The South Bend Community School Corporation has announced plans for its 2023 graduation ceremonies.

Six celebrations will be put on over three days at Notre Dame's Compton Family Ice Arena in mid-June. The location is a departure from recent commencement festivities convened outdoors at the district's TCU School Field and Four Winds Field during the first years of the coronavirus pandemic.

"This is my favorite time of year and we are thankful for the hospitality of the University of Notre Dame, and look forward to celebrating this special group of graduates without concern about the weather, and in a venue that can comfortably accommodate our graduates, their loved ones, and our educations," Superintendent Todd Cummings said in a news release.

South Bend ceremonies will take place at the Compton arena at the following times:

  • Adams High School: 6 p.m. June 8

  • Riley High School: 6 p.m. June 9

  • Washington High School: 10 a.m. June 10

  • Adult Education Luncheon: 1 p.m. June 10

  • Rise Up Academy and South Bend Virtual School: 3 p.m. June 10

  • Clay High School: 5 p.m. June 10
