Where Arkansas football ranks in latest AP, coaches polls after win over Cincinnati

FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas football opened its 2022 season with a top-25 win over Cincinnati on Saturday. It was the Razorbacks' fourth win over a ranked opponent under coach Sam Pittman.

The victory gave Arkansas a boost in the newest top 25 rankings. The Razorbacks go into their matchup with South Carolina on Saturday (11 a.m. CT, ESPN) as the No. 17 team in the country per the USA Today Sports AFCA Coaches Poll released Tuesday.

Arkansas jumped six spots from its preseason ranking of No. 23. When Cincinnati came to Fayetteville, the Bearcats were ranked No. 22. They dropped out of the coaches poll top 25 after the 31-24 loss.

Arkansas comes in at No. 16 in the latest Associated Press Top 25, an improvement upon its preseason ranking of No. 19.

Arkansas' remaining schedule features four teams ranked in the coaches poll: No. 1 Alabama, No. 6 Texas A&M, No. 23 Ole Miss and No. 25 BYU.
