Where to buy World Series gear? Diamondbacks, other retailers have the merch

Not long after the Arizona Diamondbacks punched their World Series ticket with a 4-2 win over the Phillies in Game 7 on Tuesday, Snakes fans started looking for the latest T-shirts, hats and other fan gear.

The 2023 National League champion Diamondbacks advanced to the World Series for the second time in franchise history.

The DBacks official team shop located at Chase Field sold their first pieces of NLCS and World Series merchandise on Wednesday to eager fans.

"It was the first thing I did today, I came down here and got me some 2023 World Series merch," said Steve Mora, a lifelong DBacks fan who was holding his old hat and wearing a brand new one embroidered with the World Series title.

The Diamondbacks face the Texas Rangers in Game 1 of the World Series at 5:03 p.m. Arizona time on Friday at Globe Life Field in Arlington.

Fans line up at Chase Field Team Shop for merchandise

Fans lined up for entry into the Chase Field team shop as soon as it opened at 10 a.m. on Wednesday.

Fans passing through the shop's metal detectors were alongside a separate and much longer line for World Series tickets.

Mora wore his new World Series hat and NLCS championship shirt immediately after he bought them, taking photos of himself outside the stadium gates to share the memory with his grandchildren.

"This has been a long time coming, it’s a thrill to be in the World Series again. Our city is blessed with this opportunity," Mora said.

Sophie Bejarano and Jeanette Maez are lifelong DBacks fans who stood in the box office line together after they bought World Series hats at the team shop.

"As soon as we got the hats, we told our family and sent them pictures," Bejarano said.

Maez was excited to wear her new World Series hat which took her back to attending game 7 of the 2001 World Series that saw the DBacks's famous win.

"My son and I were there so we’re hoping to do a repeat," Maez said.

Both Bejarano and Maez traveled from Avondale to the downtown team shop and said they were disappointed at the limited options available.

"I was looking for a jersey and a World Series hatpin, so we may have to come back tomorrow to shop some more," Bejarano said.

Even non-DBacks fans made their way to Chase Field to buy some of the one-of-a-kind merchandise.

Samantha Stonebreaker and Paul Green were on a nationwide road trip from MLB stadium to stadium, a tribute to Green's late father.

"Since we were here [in Arizona] last night and they made it in [the World Series], we kind of feel like we’re a part of it," Stonebreaker said, holding her newly bought NLCS shirt.

On social media, people were already staking out sporting goods retailers like Dick's Sporting Goods for DBacks World Series merchandise. Online retailer Fanatics also pumped its DBacks postseason gear.

Postseason merchandise is on sale at the Chase Field Team Shop, 401 E. Jefferson St., with expanded hours from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday, the team reported after the win.

What new Diamondbacks merch is available?

The DBacks team shop at Chase Field had limited options available on Wednesday, offering only a charcoal-colored NLCS championship shirt and a light grey World Series hat.

The team shop said they expected to see more items like jerseys and hats for sale by Thursday or Friday.
