Where to find the cheapest pizza in Arizona and across the US

The entertainment betting website Betting.com recently ranked the top 50 most populous cities in the United States based on the average price of a pizza, and two Arizona cities were in the top 10 for the lowest prices.

The lists feature a breakdown of the price per pizza and by slice for 14-inch margherita pizza for each city. The rankings compared costs from Grubhub sales, finding the average of five restaurants per city.

Tucson ranked seventh on the list for cheapest pizza, and Mesa ranked ninth. Here are the cities that made the list of most expensive for pizza.

  1. Detroit, Michigan: $13.39 per pizza and $1.67 per slice.

  2. El Paso, Texas: $13.90 per pizza and $1.74 per slice.

  3. Oklahoma City, Oklahoma: $13.99 per pizza and $1.75 per slice.

  4. Fort Worth, Texas: $14.26 per pizza and $1.78 per slice.

  5. Tulsa, Oklahoma: $14.34 per pizza and $1.79 per slice.

  6. Albuquerque, New Mexico: $14.35 per pizza and $1.79 per slice.

  7. Tucson: $14.57 per pizza and $1.82 per slice.

  8. Wichita, Kansas: $14.65 per pizza and $1.83 per slice.

  9. Mesa: $14.66 per pizza and $1.83 per slice.

  10. Jacksonville, Florida: $14.77 per pizza and $1.85 per slice.

  2. San Jose, California: $21.59 per pizza and $2.70 per slice.

  3. New York City, New York: $21.48 per pizza and $2.69 per slice.

  4. San Francisco, California: $21.47 per pizza and $2.68 per slice.

  5. Seattle, Washington: $21.14 per pizza and $2.64 per slice.

  6. Fresno, California: $21.05 per pizza and $2.63 per slice.

  7. Chicago, Illinois: $20.88 per pizza and $2.61 per slice.

  8. Los Angeles, California: $19.99 per pizza and $2.50 per slice.

  9. Bakersfield, California: $19.92 per pizza and $2.49 per slice.

  10. San Diego, California: $19.85 per pizza and $2.48 per slice.
