Where To Get A Coronavirus Vaccine At Woodstock Publix

WOODSTOCK, GA — Publix will distribute coronavirus vaccines at 108 Publix pharmacies across Georgia, including several in the Woodstock area, Publix officials announced Thursday.

In a collaboration with Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp, the grocery retail chain will administer coronavirus vaccines by appointment only for first responders, health care workers, Georgians age 65 and older and their caregivers, as well as residents and staff of long-term care facilities.

Eligible individuals can make appointments beginning Friday using Publix's online reservation system, with vaccination appointments starting Saturday, Jan. 16.

"At Publix, we know how important it is to be there, especially in times of need," Publix CEO Todd Jones said in a news release. "We are grateful for the opportunity to provide this critical service to the Georgia community."

Vaccinations are provided while supplies last at no cost, according to the news release. Customers with health insurance will need to bring their insurance card to their scheduled appointment.

Medicare members are instructed to bring their red, white and blue Medicare Part B card, and customers without health insurance are instructed to provide their driver's license or Social Security number.
