Where to get a COVID-19 vaccine this week

The Florida Department of Health in Orange County is collaborating with Orange County and the cities of Orlando and Winter Park to once again offer free vaccines for the week of Aug. 2, no appointment needed.

Doctors throughout the region and nation urge everyone to get a vaccine against COVID-19 as soon as possible. Large companies like the Walt Disney Co. in recent days are requiring their staff to get vaccinated.

Anyone interested in going to the county’s mobile trailer can choose between the Johnson & Johnson vaccine and the first or second dose of the Pfizer vaccine.

Minors can only get Pfizer. They must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and bring a signed consent form along with ID, driver’s license or other identification.

In addition to these mobile vaccination sites, vaccinations are available throughout Central Florida at Barnett Park, major retail pharmacies, community health clinics, hospital networks, the Orlando VA Healthcare System and some doctors’ offices. A comprehensive list can be found here.
