🌱 Where To Get COVID Test Kits In MD + Christmas Weekend Events

Good morning, Catonsvile! Like many of you, the Patch team is taking some time off to enjoy the holidays, so there will not be a newsletter in your inbox tomorrow. We appreciate your understanding of this slight pause in our schedule, and I will be back on Monday with the next edition of the Catonsville Daily! Now, here's everything happening around town today.

First, today's weather:

Some sun, then clouds; warmer. High: 52 Low: 41.

Here are the top 3 stories today in Catonsville:

  1. COVID-19 test kits have been hard to come by in Maryland lately, especially in the Baltimore area. Catonsville residents who want to get an at-home test kit before or after their holiday gatherings may have to travel to Anne Arundel County, where test kits will be distributed at multiple city locations on varying days through the rest of the month. Baltimore City Public Schools will have rapid tests in schools by Jan. 4. As always, Baltimore County offers free, walk-in testing every week at three different locations. (WBALTV 11)

  2. Doing some last-minute holiday shopping today? The malls in Baltimore County are still open on Christmas Eve, but many have limited hours. Most local shopping centers are closing by 5 or 6 p.m. this evening and will be closed on Saturday for Christmas Day. At places like Mill Station and Reisterstown Road Plaza, hours vary by tenant.
