Where All the Different Royals Are Self-Isolating, From Windsor Castle to Los Angeles
With social distancing at an all-time high, members of the royal family have scattered to a variety of renowned estates in an attempt to stay safe during the coronavirus pandemic. From Windsor Castle to Los Angeles, keep reading for a look at where all the different royals are self-isolating.
1. Queen Elizabeth & Prince Philip
Location: Windsor Castle
As of last week, Queen Elizabeth had left Buckingham Palace with her husband, Prince Philip. Since the monarch canceled all upcoming events, there’s a good chance they’ll self-isolate at Windsor Castle for quite some time. Let’s just hope the queen stashed a few games in her handbag.
2. Prince Charles & Camilla Parker Bowles
Location: Balmoral Castle
Princes Charles tested positive for the coronavirus last week and has been self-quarantining at the family’s Scotland estate. His wife, Camilla Parker Bowles, tested negative for the virus but has been in self-isolation as a precaution. Phew!
3. Prince William & Kate Middleton
Location: Anmer Hall
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are having a staycation at their country estate, Anmer Hall. They brought along their three children: Prince George (6), Princess Charlotte (4) and Prince Louis (1), who will likely celebrate his 2nd birthday in Sandringham. On the bright side, he’ll barely remember it anyways.
4. Prince Harry & Meghan Markle
Location: Los Angeles
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have left their new home in Vancouver Island, Canada, and moved to Markle’s hometown of Los Angeles (where her mother, Doria Ragland, also lives). Although we don’t know the exact residence, you can bet we’ll be keeping an eye out for the Sussex clan in the wild.
5. Princess Beatrice
Location: St. James’s Palace
It appears Princess Beatrice stayed at her apartment at St. James’s Palace. There are definitely worse places to stay while social distancing.
6. Princess Eugenie
Location: Kensington Palace
Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, likely remained at their residence, which is located on the grounds of Kensington Palace.
Much roomier than our 500-square-foot apartment.
