Where are the farmers markets in the Hartford area?
Late spring, summer and early fall is farmer’s market season. In Hartford County, there is a market every day of the week somewhere, selling locally grown fruits, herbs, vegetables, eggs, cheese, meat, jams and jellies, honey, oils and vinegars, fresh baked goods, as well as products made by local artisans.
Most markets accept SNAP and EBT as a form of payment for food, and many double the benefits. Ask at the market or visit the website to confirm. Some markets have live entertainment and food trucks.
