Where to get a free Thanksgiving meal in Westchester, Rockland and Putnam

Free Thanksgiving meals will be offered at Westchester, Rockland and Putnam locations. Here's a look at several places to go:

Westchester County

Mount Vernon: Golden Krust Mount Vernon will offer a free Thanksgiving meal on Sunday, Nov. 19, to those who come into the restaurant and pick up a ticket any day before Sunday, according to a news release on the restaurant's website. A person does not have to purchase anything in order to get the ticket for the Sunday meal, which will be offered from noon to 5 p.m. Corner of South 4th Avenue and 2nd Street. The meal will include such offerings as jerk chicken, barbecue chicken, curried goat, with rice and peas and steamed vegetables as sides.

Ossining: Gullotta House and St Ann’s Church have teamed up to provide a Thanksgiving meal to members of the community on Sunday, Nov. 19, from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.. "All who would like or are in need of a meal are invited to join us for the 2023 Thanksgiving dinner at St Ann’s school gym," said the posting on Gullotta House's website. The event will provide 1,000 sit-down meals, and in addition have grab and go meals available. The posting said 500 meals will be delivered upon request to disabled or seniors throughout Westchester. St. Ann's School gym, 16 Elizabeth St.

Peekskill: The Peekskill Salvation Army Corps will have takeout meals on Nov. 22, the day before Thanksgiving, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. 117 Nelson Ave.

Port Chester: The Port Chester Salvation Army Corps will offer a Thanksgiving meal from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Nov. 23, Thanksgiving Day. 36 Bush Ave.

White Plains: Little Drunken Chef restaurant will offer a take-out Thanksgiving meal on Nov. 23, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. 91 Mamaroneck Ave., ( 914) 615-9300.

Rockland County

South Nyack: Living Christ Church is offering a sit-down Thanksgiving Day meal on Nov. 23 and again on Nov. 24, each from noon to 2 p.m. It's held in McKaig Hall, 151 South Broadway.

Putnam County

Brewster: Bob's Diner will offer a free Thanksgiving dinner on Nov. 23. According to its Facebook post, the restaurant will start serving at 2 p.m. "and stay open for as long as people keep coming. If you or someone you know have nowhere to go, can't afford a meal, don't feel like cooking or cleaning, and want some company, please join us. We'd love to have you." 27 Main St.
