Martinsville (7-6) at Perry Meridian (4-8)

Tip: 7:30 p.m.

Coaches: Kip Staggs, 83-112 in 9th year at Martinsville. Mark James, 32-45 in 4th year at Perry Meridian, 591-328 in 40th year overall.

Last outing: Martinsville lost to Bloomington North, 59-56. Perry Meridian lost to Pike, 52-45.

Series last 35 years: Perry Meridian, 18-17.

Last meeting: Perry Meridian, 61-50, Jan. 22, 2021.

Outlook: While Perry Meridian sits with a 4-8 record, the Falcons are an improving team, taking No. 15 Pike down to the wire during the Marion County Tournament last week. Their offense may not be explosive, but they've held eight teams under 50 points this season. To get a win, the Artesians must not let the Falcons dictate the tempo. As long as they stay collected and limit turnovers, they will have a great shot at getting a win.

Outlook: These two teams trended in opposite directions last week, with Mooresville dropping two games and Plainfield winning two. It will be vital the Pioneers lock up the Qaukers' Cael Vanderbush. If they're able to successful do that, and limit the surrounding players, they should be able to put themselves in a position to win.

Series last 35 years: Northview, 1-0.

Last meeting: Northview, 64-29, Jan. 22, 2021.

Outlook: Northview enters this one with a great offense, so to have a shot in this one, it will be imperative the Braves slow down scorers Drew Cook and Braden Allen. Indian Creek has had success scoring in back-to-back games. It will need to carry that over for an important conference win.

Series last 35 years: Decatur Central, 23-13.

Last meeting: Decatur Central, 47-37, Jan. 22, 2021.

Outlook: Greenwood has been a sneaky good team this year thanks to some stellar play on the defensive end. However, Decatur Central's offense will likely cause problems for the Woodmen. The Hawks have been great in Mid-State Conference play this year, they have a chance to continue that against Greenwood.
