Where Michigan basketball ranks in preseason Ferris Mowers Men’s Basketball Coaches Poll

We are but a couple weeks out from Michigan basketball taking the court in earnest for the 2021-22 season, as the Nov. 10 home opener against Buffalo fast approaches. And there’s no more of a telling sign that tipoff is almost here than the release of the USA TODAY Sports Ferris Mowers Men’s Basketball Coaches Poll preseason rankings.

The Big Ten continues to look like a tough conference this season, with five conference teams entering the season ranked in the eyes of the coaches. Purdue checks in at No. 7, Illinois is No. 10, Ohio State is No. 17, and Maryland is ranked at No. 21. But the Wolverines lead them all at No. 6 overall.
