Here’s where Middle Georgia’s athletes are headed after National Signing Day

While early signing day saw some prominent football prospects commit to colleges, Wednesday’s National Signing Day saw more athletes choose the universities they’ll attend. Here’s a list of athlete signings from Middle Georgia, and a list of some prospects signed by some Georgia schools.

Peach County

The Trojans had one of the busiest signing days in Middle Georgia, as nine different football players signed letters of intent to their respective schools. Their biggest signing of the day was Skeiler Mann, who will play at Ole Miss.

Northside

Another school with lots of action Wednesday, Northside saw nine athletes sign to play college athletics. The biggest news for the Eagles was that two of their offensive linemen committed to notable schools, with Qiunton Lewis signing with Yale and Kyle Mixon signing to Kentucky.

  • Duke McClinton: Peru State

Perry

The Panthers had a big day Wednesday with 11 athletes signing to schools. Star cornerback Traveon Wright was one of the biggest when he signed with Memphis.

Howard

The Huskies had one player sign to a school Wednesday, football player Zavion Hardy. Hardy signed with East Mississippi Community College.

Academy for Classical Education

ACE was one of the first Macon schools to announce their signees Wednesday and featured two athletes signing to schools.

  • Destiny Lucas: Brewton Parker, softball

  • Fernando Washington: Copiah-Lincoln Community College, football

Rutland

The Hurricanes had three athletes sign Wednesday, including two football players. Star utility player Neico Sandifer was the most notable, signing to West Georgia.

Tattnall

Tattnall saw two football players sign on National Signing Day. Wide receiver Brayden Smith signed with Mercer to stay local and quarterback Donovan Duncan signed with Capital University.

Mary Persons

The Bulldogs had two players sign Wednesday, one on each side of the ball in the form of an offensive lineman and defensive back.

  • Andon Riley: Carson-Newman University

  • Champ Brantley: Charleston Southern University

Houston County

The Bears had one football player sign with a university Wednesday, defensive back Arthur Brown IV. Brown signed with Charleston Southern University.

Mount de Sales

The Cavaliers had one student sign to a school. Offensive lineman Bryce Causey signed with Jacksonville State Wednesday.

Baldwin County

One student from the Balwin County football team signed with a school Wednesday. Braves offensive lineman Jermon Simmons signed with Georgia Military College.

John Milledge Academy

JMA saw one athlete sign in the form of Baylen Zielinski, who signed on with Georgia Military Academy.

Wilkinson County

Wilkinson County had one commit Wednesday when Jordan Jackson signed with Northeast Mississippi Community College.

Georgia college football signings

Here’s who some of the state’s college football teams signed Wednesday.

Mercer

The Bears focused on special teams for National Signing Day, adding a kicker and punter to the team.

  • Kody Arnold, punter, Glynn Academy in Brunswick

  • Reice Griffith, kicker, Pace High School in Pace, Florida

Georgia

The Bulldogs had a relatively quiet signing day, not officially netting any new players. They did get a commitment from the #1 overall cornerback prospect, Ellis Robinson.

Georgia Tech

The Yellow Jackets also failed to sign any new players on National Signing Day, though they did get a few commitments to finish out their 2023 class.
