Where to find paczki around Milwaukee on Fat Tuesday 2023

Local bakeries will greet Fat Tuesday, Feb. 21, with both traditional and special-recipe pączki.

The traditional doughnut-like pre-Lenten treats are made of yeast dough, deep-fried and filled with fruit fillings. Special pączki could be filled with custard or cream, infused with alcohol and drizzled with a variety of icings and glazes.

Pączki prices vary, but be prepared to pay more this year as egg and butter prices remain high. For best selection, pre-order is recommended.
