Believe it or not, the reality TV show "Survivor" has been on air for a whopping 44 seasons.

And while the long-running show has filmed in a variety of locations around the world during the 23 years since its first season in Borneo – ranging from Australia to Guatemala – it has taken up residence in Fiji in the South Pacific Ocean for the last 12 seasons.

"Survivor" host and executive producer Jeff Probst previously told Entertainment Weekly that he doesn't want the show to ever leave Fiji.

"Fiji offers us everything we want," he said to Entertainment Weekly in 2017. "Incredibly beautiful water that you can see down 30 feet, beaches that are amazing, a government that is working with us, local labor that loves to say ‘Bula!' every day because they're just happy you're here. And our crew has never been as happy. We actually have decent accommodations to do this show out in the jungle. It's a win-win-win."

If you're not sure of the show's premise, it's pretty simple: A group of strangers sign up to live in the jungle, survive with limited food, water and resources, build their own shelters, compete in challenges and strategize to vote out other competitors one by one with the goal of winning the title of Sole Survivor and the $1 million prize.
