Where To Get Tested For Coronavirus Near Astoria, LIC This Week
QUEENS, NY — There are hundreds of locations where New Yorkers can get tested for the coronavirus, including a variety of options nearby Astoria and Long Island City.
New York City now has the capacity to test 120,000 people a day for the coronavirus, thanks to more than 300 testing sites throughout the five boroughs, according to NYC Health + Hospitals.
The latest addition was the start of rapid testing last week at LaGuardia Airport's COVID-19 testing site, which serves local residents in addition to travelers and airport employees.
The site has the capacity to provide about 250 rapid point-of-care molecular tests per day, with results generally returned within 15 minutes, according to a news release.
Testing sites near Astoria and Long Island City include:
LaGuardia Airport, Terminal B parking garage: 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Sunday
NYC Health + Hospitals Woodside testing site, 51-30 Northern Blvd.: 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Sunday
Elmhurst Hospital, 79-01 Broadway: 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 8 a.m. to noon Sunday
Corona Health Center, 34-33 Junction Blvd.: by appointment only
