Where to trick or treat and other fun Halloween things to do in Holmes and Wayne Counties

Following is a list of trick or treat times and locations for communities in Holmes and Wayne counties. Residents who wish to participate are asked to turn on their porch lights.

The Tri-County Preschool Program is hosting a family education Trunk or Treat event 4:30-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, at the at the Tri County Educational Service Center Event Center, 700 Winkler Drive, Wooster. The event will take place in the office parking lot. All 15 preschool teachers are hosting "Trunk or Treat" with a literacy twist for families. A few community partners from Wooster Community Hospital and Wayne County Public Library are also participating.

The annual Fall Fest will be 5:30-7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, at Orr Park Heller Hall. It will include trunk or treat, hotdogs and apple cider, a bonfire with s’mores and candy for the kids.

Halloween Trunk or Treat at the Shady Lawn Nursing Home, 15028 Old Lincoln Way, Dalton, is hosting a family-friendly fun evening 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26. Doughnuts and refreshments will be served.

Doylestown Trick or Treat is 5:30-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26.

Clark Trick or Treat will take place 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26.

Village of Holmesville Trick or Treat will also be held 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26.

It's Halloween at the Blue Macaroon Theater in Doylestown at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27. Dress up and experience the "Legend of the Blue Macaroon" on stage. Guests are invited to check out the animatronics, music and treats, all for the admission price of $7.

Smithville Trick or Treat is 4-6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28.

Rittman Trick or Treat is 4-6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28.

Village of Shreve will hold Trick or Treat 5-7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28.

New Pittsburgh Community Trick or Treat will be held 5-6:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, with a party to follow at the fire station.

Dalton Trick or Treat is 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29.

In the Wooster neighborhood of Brooke Way, Melanie Dr., Normandy Drive, Ryan Court, Star Drive, Nelson Avenue, Patrick Place, Marilyn Drive, Mindy Lane and Pepperwood Carriage, Trick or Treat will be held 4-6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29.

Wooster’s designated trick or treat on Saturday, Oct. 28, 4-8 p.m.

Haunted Halls will be held at Orrville High School 6-7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 30.

Orrville trick or treat is 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31. Participants will have porch lights on.

Trick or Treat hosted by Killbuck Fire Department in the village of Killbuck will be held 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31.

The Smithville Community Historical Society will host Trick or Treat in the historic Pioneer Village, Saturday, Oct. 28, from 4 to 6 p.m. Free hot chocolate and donuts. There will be a free movie immediately following trick or treat, the Vincent Price classic, House On Haunted Hill.
