When is Election Day?

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 7. Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. You do not need to show ID to vote in New Jersey unless you are a first-time voter.

Am I registered to vote?

If you are not sure if you are still registered to vote in New Jersey, click here to find out.

New Jersey does not have same-day registration, so if you are not registered you cannot vote on Tuesday. But it's a good time to register so you don't miss the next election, which will be presidential and gubernatorial primaries, among other key races.

When will results come in?

Polls close at 8 p.m. and results begin to roll in about an hour or so later. Results will appear at APP.com for Ocean and Monmouth counties.
