Where to vote, who's on ballot and more in guide to Salisbury's big election

Election day is here, with key contests that will determine the future course for Salisbury on the ballot.

Voters Tuesday will decide who will be the city's next mayor and City Council representatives in five districts. Here's all to know on the candidates, where to vote and more.

Who's on the ballot for Salisbury mayor and City Council?

Mayor of Salisbury

The candidates for mayor of Salisbury are Megan Outten, Jermichael Mitchell, and Randy Taylor.

Salisbury City Council

District 1: The candidates are April Jackson, the City Council president, and challenger Von Siggers.

District 2 candidates are Wayne King and D’Shawn Doughty, who was recently appointed to the vacant seat and is now running for a full term.

In District 3, Sharon Dashiell and Joan Michalowicz are the candidates who qualified for the ballot. A write-in candidate, John Foley, is also campaigning for the seat.

District 4 candidates are incumbent Michele Gregory and challenger Harvey Evans.

Finally, District 5 has incumbent Angela Blake, the current City Council vice president, running unopposed.

Where to vote today in Salisbury's election

The polls will be open today from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. There is no early voting period for Salisbury's 2023 election.

Fire Station 16 at 325 Cypress Street in Salisbury is the voting place today for voters who live in District 1.

  • In District 2, the voting site is Oak Ridge Baptist Church, 361 Tilghman Road.

  • District 3 will hold its voting at Asbury Methodist Church, 1401 Camden Ave.

  • In District 4, Wicomico Presbyterian Church at 129 Broad St. is the voting location.

  • Finally, District 5 will have its voting location at the Deaf Independent Living Association at 806 Snow Hill Road.
