Fireworks and parades scheduled in and around Wayne County to celebrate the Fourth of July include:

Fireworks

Saturday

  • 9:30 p.m., Carbondale. Carbondale City Hall Fireworks Display, 1 North Main St.

  • 9:30 p.m., Honesdale. Fired from Irving Cliff, visible across town; hosted by Greater Honesdale Partnership. Follows Music in the Park presented by Wayne County Creative Arts Counci with the Doug Smith Band and Crystal Band. Music in the Park starts at 6:30 p.m. See: visithonesdalepa.com. Fireworks rain date: July 7.

  • 9 p.m., Narrowsburg, New York. Visible from Main Street, Pete's Plaza, Narrowsburg Bridge, Delaware River access from PA side off Rt. 652. Host: Roto Rooter, Lander's River Trips, Central House.

  • 9 p.m., fireworks, Port Jervis, New York. Elks Brox Memorial Park. July 1-2, noon to 9 p.m.: America the Beautiful Festival ― The Sound of Liberty presented by The Epoch Times and New Century, at 517 Neversink Drive, Port Jervis. Rock and country music performers; BBQ, Color Guard, children's playground, games and more.

Sunday

Dusk, 1381 Lake Ariel Highway (Route 191), at Lake Ariel beach, hosted by Lake Ariel Volunteer Fire Company. Follows the parade which begins at 7 p.m.

Fourth of July

9:15 p.m.-10 p.m., Lake Wallenpaupack at the Wallenpaupack Area High School athletic track, just below Hawley. Hosted by Chamber of the Northern Poconos. Rain date July 5.

Sunday

7 p.m. parade in Lake Ariel, hosted by Lake Ariel Volunteer Fire Company. Followed at dusk by fireworks 1381 Lake Ariel Highway (Route 191), at Lake Ariel beach.

Fourth of July

10 a.m., Pleasant Mount, hosted by Pleasant Mount Community Center. Speakers, games, refreshments, a BBQ and the Pleasant Mount Firecracker 5K are also planned. Visit pleasantmountcc.com.

Noon, Hawley. Parade begins near Main and Church Streets, heads up Main Avenue to Bingham Park.

3-3:30 p.m. Narrowsburg, New York. Hosted by Narrowsburg Fire Department. The parade lines up on Bridge Street. The parade route includes Erie Avenue, Main Street and Bridge Street. Immediately following the parade, enjoy the live music, carnival rides, food and drink vendors and local artisans at the free Fourth of July Festival at Fireman’s Field on DeMauro Lane, hosted by Narrowsburg Chamber of Commerce and The Tusten Youth Commission.
