Thanks to her titular role in Netflix's smash-hit show Wednesday, Jenna Ortega is now something of a household name (and by household name we mean world-famous megastar).
But before she played the spooky, kooky, ooky Addams Family teen, the versatile actress had already established herself as quite the scream queen, and she was big news on Disney before that.

Scream 5 & 6
In the fifth Scream instalment, which you can watch on Paramount+, Sam Carpenter (Melissa Barrera) returns to Woodsboro after her sister Tara (Ortega) is attacked by a new killer donning the infamous Ghostface mask.
Sam enlists the help of Dewey Riley (David Arquette) to help catch the killer, who warns our favourite final girls Sidney (Neve Campbell) and Gale (Courtney Cox).
Scream 6 is out now in cinemas, following Tara, Sam and some other Ghostface survivors as they leave Woodsboro behind for a fresh chapter in New York City. But, of course, it's never that simple...
Wednesday
It wouldn't be a Jenna Ortega roundup without this show in the list, and if you're here, you've probably binged it multiple times already. (No judgement here, so have we).
Tim Burton's Addams Family spin-off follows Ortega's take on the iconic character as she tries to take control of her emerging psychic ability, stop a monstrous killing spree, and solve the mystery that embroiled her parents over 25 years ago.
It was a major hit for Netflix, so it's a good thing season two is on the way.
You
It's hard to keep up with the characters in Netflix's You given the amount of times Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley) moves away and changes his identity after one of his many killing sprees, but Ortega made an impression in season two as troubled teen Ellie Alves.
Fans were desperate for Ellie to return in the latest batch of episodes, though Badgley and the writers explained how she was too busy with Wednesday to film.
Ortega did say she was "devastated" not to be in the fourth season, so it's possible Ellie could pop up in season five... if her busy Wednesday schedule allows it, of course.
X
Horror movies are Ortega's thing, and she proved herself worthy as a scream queen in Ti West's slasher X.
Set in the 1970s, X follows a group of young filmmakers as they try to make an adult film in rural Texas, but things soon take a turn when their elderly hosts catch them in the act.
Ortega plays Lorraine Day, a young woman who joins the trip to assist her boyfriend RJ (Owen Campbell) with filming.
X is available to watch on Prime Video.
The Fallout
In Megan Park's directorial debut The Fallout, Ortega stars as Vada, a high-school student who is forced to navigate the emotional fallout and trauma she experiences in the wake of a school shooting.
Inspired by her new friendship with Mia (Dance Moms' Maddie Ziegler), Vada begins to reinvent herself while reevaluate her view of the world.

American Carnage
In American Carnage, a governor makes an executive order to arrest the children of undocumented immigrants.
The newly detained youth, including Ortega's character Camila, are offered a chance to have their charges dropped by offering to care for the elderly, but they soon discover that the governor and a supervisor have come up with a depraved plot that puts everyone in danger.
The Babysitter: Killer Queen
Cole (Judah Lewis) is once again forced to outwit the forces of evil in Netflix's The Babysitter sequel, Killer Queen, after the satanic cult once headed by his babysitter Bee (Samara Weaving) unexpectedly returns.
Ortega plays newbie Phoebe Attwell, who tries, along with Cole, to get though the night without being sacrificed.
Yes Day
It's been a bit dark up until this point, but Ortega's CV really does include something for the whole family.
In Netflix's Yes Day, strict parents Allison (Jennifer Garner) and Carlos (Edgar Ramírez) decide to give their three children a 'Yes Day', during which the kids have 24 hours to make the rules and the parents must, you guessed it, say yes to everything.
Ortega plays Allison and Carlos' moody teenager Katie, while Julian Lerner and Everly Carganilla round out the sibling trio.
Iron Man 3
It's a blink-and-you'll-miss it moment, but a baby-faced Ortega actually had a small role in Iron Man 3 playing Vice President Rodriguez's (Miguel Ferrer) daughter.
Rodriguez is working with Aldrich Killian (Guy Pearce) to overthrow the government because he's hopeful that Killian's Extremis virus will help his disabled daughter.
Stuck in the Middle
Before she played Wednesday Addams, Ortega played the middle child (the Wednesday, if you will) in Stuck in the Middle on the Disney Channel, which you can catch up with on Disney+.
Harley Diaz may be the overlooked middle child, but she's able to use her genius and creativity to stand out from her six siblings and deal with her busy parents.
Jane the Virgin
Finally, Ortega had a recurring role playing a young Jane Villanueva on the CW's Jane The Virgin.
The series follows a young, devout Catholic whose life is turned upside down when she discovers that she was accidentally artificially inseminated with the sperm of her boss.
