Where and when to watch the Mardi Gras krewe parades in Shreveport in 2022

Laissez les bon temps rouler! It's time for Mardi Gras and there are so many parades happening in Shreveport this season.

Check out all of the krewes below to see their parade theme and find out where to join in on the festivities.

Krewe of Harambee parade

Taking place at Milam St. at Texas St. from 1-3p.m. on Monday, Jan. 17. Their theme "Harambee Celebrates Remember the Time" will celebrate themes from past ears and the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King. This event is free to the public.

Krewe of Oceanus Grand Ball

On Friday, Feb. 4 at 7 p.m. head out to 3055 Knight St. at the Cordaro Event Center. Captain Parker Ward and the Krewe of Oceanus will over to the Louisiana State Fairgrounds at 3701 Hudson St. on Sunday, Feb. 13 from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. for this fun event. To register your pet to take part, visit the Barkus and Meoux website. This event is free for anyone under 18 and $1 for everyone over 18.

Krewe of Centaur parade

The 29th Annual Krewe of Centaur Parade: Centaur Time Travels! Saturday afternoon on  Clyde Fant Parkway in downtown Shreveport.

One of the largest parading krewes in Louisiana with dozens of huge, colorful floats, marching bands and dance troupes. You can join in on the fun at Lake St. at Clyde Fant Pkwy. at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 19. This is a free event.

Krewe of Gemini parade

This parade will take place on Saturday, Feb. 26 at 3 p.m. beginning in downtown Shreveport at Clyde Fant Pkwy at Lake St. and following it south, rolling through the Broadmoor neighborhood. Expect large floats and marching bands at this free event.

Krewe of Highland parade

Known for its "unpredictable throws" like Moon Pies, grilled hot dogs and packaged ramen noodles, this parade is not one to miss. Taking place at the intersection of Gregg Ave. and Gilbert Dr. and follows a circular route through the Highland neighborhood on Sunday, Feb. 27 at 2 p.m. This is a free event.
