Where to watch the Michigan-Washington CFP championship game in southeast Michigan

U-M football fans, get ready to watch the Wolverines at the championship game in Texas.

After the University of Michigan's New Year's Day win against Alabama in the Rose Bowl, the team will soon face off against the University of Washington.

The Wolverines pulled off a 27-20 overtime victory Monday against the Alabama Crimson Tide, setting the No. 1 team on a path to the championship game. Michigan, undefeated at 14-0, will play the No. 2 Washington Huskies, also undefeated at 14-0.

The upcoming game on Monday Jan. 8 will bring the Wolverines and the Huskies head to head in the College Football Playoff National Championship at 7:30 p.m. EST at NRG Stadium in Houston.

Here's a look at some places across metro Detroit hosting watch parties, where you can check out the championship game.

Ford-Wyoming Drive-in screening

The Ford-Wyoming Drive-in in Dearborn will host a showing of the game Monday evening. Tickets are for sale online for $20.

Sports Bar Westside watch party

Community members are organizing a watch party at Sports Bar Westside in Ann Arbor for the game starting at 7 p.m. on Jan. 8.

Dearborn civic center showing

The city of Dearborn will host a screening of the game at the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center theater on Jan. 8. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. The event will also feature food trucks outside the center and refreshments and beverages for sale indoors. Guests can register online for the free event.

Emagine Theatres screening

Emagine Theatres will feature a showing of the championship game at select locations Monday Jan. 8. Tickets can be purchased for $20 per person online or at participating box offices.

The game will be broadcast at the following Emagine Theatres in Michigan and Indiana:

The screening will also feature special menu items for the game, including the Smashbox combo of chicken tenders, cheese curds, and chicken bacon jalapeno quesadillas and the touchdown combo of classic pizza, classic nachos and pretzel bites.

Alcoholic beverages will include $6 light draft beers, the Wolverine bite drink of Corazon Blanco, blue curacao, lime juice, simple syrup, and lemonade, and the husky hooch drink of Wheatley Vodka, Creme de Violette, lime juice, simple syrup lemonade.

Jefferson Street Pub watch party

Jefferson Street Pub in Harrison Township will host a watch party starting at 7 p.m. Monday. The bar and restaurant invite community members to watch the game while consuming the establishment's food and drink selections.

Michigan Theater screening

The Michigan Theater in downtown Ann Arbor will host its screening of the championship game. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and tickets are $20. Tickets are for sale online.

Brown Iron Brewhouse watch party

Brown Iron Brewhouse in Washington Township will host a watch party for the game the evening of Monday, Jan. 8. The beer hall, beer garden, and restaurant invite fans to come cheer on their favorite teams while enjoying the eatery's dining and beer options.

Ashley's Ann Arbor watch party

Ashley's, a bar and restaurant in Ann Arbor, will host a screening of the game Monday evening. Seating will be open from 7 to 8:15 p.m.

The event requires a $10 reservation and spending a minimum of $30 during the evening. Tickets are for sale online.

MJR screening

MJR Theatres will feature showings of the game at select locations on Monday evening. Tickets are for sale online or at box offices for $20.
