Whether planning for a Missouri vacation or family staycation, the young and young at heart can get a kick out of Seussville: a Dr. Seuss-themed Airbnb in downtown Kansas City.

The second floor of this Longfellow neighborhood duplex is a two-bedroom, one-bathroom portal into Seussville where travelers can live among some of author Theodore Seuss Geisel’s most beloved characters.

The rental boasts modern trappings like an open kitchen, luxury bathroom and exposed brick with fantastical trimmings including quotes, art, furniture and color-schemes all inspired by Dr. Seuss, according to the post on Airbnb.

Guests can sleep in a “Cat in the Hat” inspired bedroom, adorned with red and white curtains to match the cat’s iconic hat or under the watchful eye of Horton — of “Horton Hears a Who” fame — in a blue and orange bedroom with a plush green rug, photos show.

Fancifully clipped “Seuss trees” are scattered throughout the condo and guests can whip up a meal from the “Green Eggs and Ham Cookbook” which can be seen in photos, propped up near the stove.

Wash off the day in a “One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish” bathroom then unwind in the living room with a reading of “If I Ran the Zoo.”

Seussville can accommodate up to six guests and rents for about $64 a night, the posting says.
