Sep. 18—Already set to be in the nation's capital for a three-game series with the Washington Nationals, the Atlanta Braves now have something else to do that week.

The team has been invited to the White House to meet with President Joe Biden on Monday, Sept. 26, in celebration of the team's 2021 World Series championship. Biden will welcome players, team staff members and other dignitaries inside the East Room ahead of the Braves' 7:05 p.m. game that night.

The Braves last visited the White House in February 1996, welcomed by former President Bill Clinton following the team's 1995 championship.
