The 78-year-old senator from Vermont, a self-identified Democratic Socialist, wants to reduce the sway of corporate America and economic inequality.

His campaign relies on small donations, largely through online fundraising from an ethnically diverse, mostly young coalition of supporters.

Not every Democrat has so far shared their latest fundraising figures.

But those who have include South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg, who took in $24.7 million in the fourth quarter, and businessman Andrew Yang, who raised $16.5 million.

Whoever wins the Democratic primary will face a deep-pocketed Republican opponent.

The Trump campaign said it starts the 2020 re-election year with $102.7 million on hand.
