White House says Islamic State seizure of Palmyra a 'setback'

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The White House said on Thursday that the seizure of the Syrian city of Palmyra is a "setback" for U.S.-led coalition forces in their fight against Islamic State. White House spokesman Josh Earnest said President Barack Obama disagreed with Republicans calling for U.S. troops on the ground to fight Islamic State.
