White Sox-Cleveland game postponed because of poor field conditions and weather

The Chicago White Sox-Cleveland game Wednesday night at Progressive Field was postponed because of poor field conditions and weather.

The Sox and Cleveland will make up the game as part of a doubleheader at 2:05 p.m. May 31 in Cleveland.

The White Sox on Tuesday won Game 1 of the scheduled two-game series, hitting four home runs — two from Jose Abreu and one apiece from Tim Anderson and Yasmani Grandal — in an 8-5 victory. The Sox have an off day Thursday before opening a nine-game homestand Friday against the Texas Rangers.
