Priyanka Chopra has opened up about her marriage to Nick Jonas.

The pair got married in 2018 after a whirlwind romance, and the star revealed that they have one rule to make sure their marriage works despite their very busy schedules.

"We see each other every three weeks," she told Elle.

"Wherever we are in the world, we fly to each other at least once a month for a couple of days. It was our rule when we first got married. Otherwise, we’d never see each other."

The White Tiger actress also spoke about the Jonas Brothers singer popping the question after just a few weeks of them officially dating.

"I didn’t expect the proposal at that point. It was two months!" she said.

"I thought it would happen but it was still a complete shock. I relinquished control and just went with it."

She continued: "We were just sporadically meeting for about two years. We were texting and stuff, and there may have been a part of me that wanted something serious.

"But I was taking a hiatus from guys at that point. I didn’t want anyone romantically.

"But there’s always been something about Nick, which is why we always ended up staying in touch, no matter where we were."

The pair started dating in May 2018, getting engaged in July following her birthday party in Greece.

They married in December the same year, having two ceremonies and multiple receptions.

Priyanka previously spoke about the cost of the lavish celebrations while speaking to Tina Brown at the World Summit.

"I knew that both of us wanted one wedding in each of our religions, so that was two days anyway. But it all happened so fast. We decided to prep this wedding in October, and we got married first of December," she said.

"We saw videos, and then the bill. And we were like, 'Oh, cool, cool, cool. Maybe we should have prepared this a little bit more.' So that's why it was that glorious. We weren't prepared."
