Who's on 'Celebrity MasterChef' tonight? Contest returns with Nancy Dell'Olio

Celebrity MasterChef returns to TV for 2022 with a new cast of famous amateur cooks hoping to impress in the kitchen.

The celebrities will be putting their best dishes forwards for judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace in the first round of heats, aiming to gain a place in the semi-finals.

Who is taking part in Celebrity MasterChef 2022 heat one?

It's the first week of the competition, where five famous amateur cooks will make their debut in the kitchen for the first heat.

Donning their aprons for week one are Sven-Goran Eriksson's ex Nancy Dell'Olio, McFly and The Voice Kids star Danny Jones, Chuckle Brothers entertainer Paul Chuckle, Love Island's Faye Winter, and comedian Kae Kurd.

They'll have to showcase a mystery ingredient, make Korean street food and create a fancy dinner party dish in the first round, before one of them is eliminated.

In this week's second episode, the remaining four will return to have a crack at making floating islands, recreate a complicated dish from a top restaurant, and rustle up an exciting vegetarian dish.

They're cooking for a place in the quarter finals at the end of the week, where three of them battle it out for two semi-finals places against the quarter-final winners of the following heats.

Who else is in Celebrity MasterChef 2022?

Heat one introduces us to the first five contestants, but there are plenty more to come.

Former boxing champion Chris Eubank, model and TV presenter Lisa Snowdon, and Strictly Come Dancing's Katya Jones, notorious for her kiss with Seann Walsh, will all take part.

Other celebrity cast include actors Ryan Thomas, Clarke Peters and Adam Pearson, TV presenter Kirsty Gallacher, and comedian Richard Blackwood.

They'll go up against choirmaster Gareth Malone, ex-EastEnders star Cliff Parisi, and former footballer Jimmy Bullard.

Completing the class of 2022 are Birds of a Feather star Lesley Joseph, drag artist Kitty Scott-Claus, All Saints singer Mel Blatt, and social media star and dancer Queen MoJo.

When does Celebrity MasterChef start?

The competition begins on Wednesday, 10 August at 8pm on BBC One and continues heat one on Thursday, 11 August at the same time.

It returns again on Friday, 12 August at 9pm on BBC One for the first quarter-final, where the top two celebrity cooks will win a place in the semi-finals.

From week two when the next round of heats returns, the schedule moves to 8pm on Tuesday and Thursday for the heats and 9pm on Friday for the quarter-final.
