Who's in? | 3 Franklin County teams qualify for PIAA tournament

The district playoffs have come and gone, and three county teams have done enough to earn a spot in the PIAA tournaments.

Chambersburg boys' soccer and Greencastle-Antrim girls' soccer and volleyball have each qualified for the state tournament, with the action beginning on Tuesday.

Here's a look at how each team got here and what comes next.

Greencastle-Antrim girls' soccer

This team made the deepest run in districts out of any county team, making it to the title game before falling to Lower Dauphin, 2-0.

That earned the team the No. 2 seed in District 3, which puts the Blue Devils (19-2-1) on the road in the first round against District 11 champion Pottsville (13-5-2).

That game will take place at North Schuylkill High School on Tuesday at 6 p.m. The winner will move on to the quarterfinals on Saturday to face the winner of District 12 champ Archbishop Wood and No. 2 seed from District 1 Bishop Shanahan.

Greencastle-Antrim girls' volleyball

It's the first appearance for the Blue Devils in the state tournament after they won the third-place game in districts against York Suburban last week. They lost in the semifinals to Northern Lebanon.

At 19-1, Greencastle will be the No. 3 seed in District 3 and will hit the road in round 1 to take on District 6 champion Hollidaysburg (14-2).

That match will be at Hollidaysburg High School on Tuesday at 7 p.m. The winner will face the winner of District 7 teams North Catholic and Greater Latrobe.

This will also be the first state appearance for Chambersburg boys' soccer, who earned its spot after making it to the semifinals of districts, before losing in 2OT to eventual district champ Central Dauphin.

The Trojans (13-7) will be the No. 3 seed in District 3, and will face District 1 champion Lower Merion on Tuesday.

The contest will be played at Harriton High School in Bryn Mawr at 5 p.m. The winner will face the winner of District 2 champ Abington Heights and No. 4 seed in District 1 Pennridge.
