Who's on the ballot in the Evansville area: A guide to Indiana's 2022 general election
Election Day is set for Nov. 8, 2022, and there's plenty of information to soak up before you head to the polls in Southwestern Indiana. Here's a look at some common questions and other information about races in Indiana.
What races are on the ballot in Southwestern Indiana?
In Southwestern Indiana, voters will vote on U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Representatives for Indiana's 8th District, Indiana Secretary of State and some county- and township-level offices, as well as some school board seats and town-level offices, depending on your location.

When are the 2022 general elections in Indiana?
The election is Nov. 8. It's a little later than normal because federal law requires it to take place on the first Tuesday in November that's after the first Monday in November. Since the first Tuesday this year is Nov. 1, the election takes place a week later on Nov. 8.
Can I still register to vote in Indiana?
The deadline for registering to vote in Indiana was 11:59 p.m. local time on Oct. 11.

Where do I vote in Vanderburgh, Posey and Warrick counties?
Vanderburgh County utilizes voting centers. Registered voters can use any center they choose. There are 22 voting centers and a list can be found by clicking here.

Can I take part in early voting in Vanderburgh County?
In Vanderburgh County, residents can vote early in person beginning Oct. 12 at locations designated by the county's election board.

Do I need an ID to vote in Indiana?
You will need to show photo ID to vote in Indiana. Your photo ID must display your name, an expiration date (can be current or expired sometime after Nov. 3, 2020), and be issued by the state of Indiana or the U.S. government.
Acceptable forms include:
Indiana driver's license or Indiana-issued photo ID card
Military ID
U.S. passport
Student ID from an Indiana state school if it meets the above requirements (student ID from a private institution may not be used for voting purposes)

Hoosiers who witness election irregularities or possible election law violations are encouraged to call the state's accessibility and fraud grievance line at 866-IN1-VOTE (866-461-8683).
The hotline is open during regular business hours and from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. CDT on Election Day.
